San Francisco Giants: 2010 World Series Champions
















despite all the torture, all the doubt..the team pulls through. so many contributors in this club, that it was hard to pick an MVP. you could make an argument for sanchez, ross, uribe, huff, ANY of the pitchers - but renteria was an appropriate choice, as his 3 run homer put SF on the board in the 7th. definitely one of the greatest stories of a team full of "misfits" and "outcasts" winning it all. congratulations, guys. you deserve it. let the celebration begin!

Recap: Bay Area Sports



all three teams (warriors, giants, sharks) active on wednesday won, completing a sweep. notables were monta ellis, blowing up the warriors' opener with 46 points(!), and freddy sanchez, with 3 doubles in his first 3 world series at-bats. great day for everyone, especially for the giants, who haven't been given much of a chance this whole postseason. peep the warriors - rockets highlights up top

ryan howard gets caught lookin at a 90 mph slider as the giants go on to celebrate their first trip to the world series since 2002. real good game, even for the phillies - sf only managed 2 runs off 13 hits. time to bring this title back west! go giants!
